Event: Holy Week Philippines 2015

Visitation of Seven Churches (Visita Iglesia) is what Mom and I usually do during Holy Week. Just like on Part 2 of Holy Week (Semana Santa) Philippines 2014, I am sharing the altar of repose in churches around Angeles City.

We first went to Jesus the Eternal Word Parish at the Korean Town, Fil-Am Friendship Highway. It was the nearest from our home. The traffic was moderate and parking is a bit of a challenge.

We took our chances to go to Our Lady of Remedies Church in Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) as we are not sure if it is open. Since commuting is difficult to go here, there was no traffic and parking was easy.

Same with Chapel of St. Joseph the Worker which is inside CSEZ also. So, it best to go to these 3 churches if you are avoiding traffic and hassle.

I took the photo at a higher angle to show that the candles were arranged as heart-shaped.

Traffic was heavy at the entrance of Sta. Maria Village 2, Balibago where Immaculate Concepcion Parish is located. I was expecting that parking was difficult but I was wrong as many were going in, many were going out.

I increased the brightness of this photo as the actual lighting will not show the pictures of people on the altar.

Traffic was also heavy at the corner of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Church located in . Lourdes Sur East and parking was a bit hard. But as we leave, cars and traffic had lessened.

You should be able to read the caption if you zoom in.

We skipped Sta. Teresita Parish Church and Holy Spirit Parish which are both near from Lourdes as Mom is having difficulty with climbing from stairs and we headed to Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church located at Hensonville Subd. Traffic was moderate and parking was a bit of challenge.

And our last stop, which is the Holy Rosary Parish. We assumed parking was very difficult as traffic was still heavy. We parked at a parking lot near McDonald’s and luckily, it was not occupied.

By the way, be very cautious where to park your vehicle during Holy Week. You might see how this was done as I saw the flagellants whipping themselves beside our car 🙂
